Monica Hinojos-Capes is a purpose-driven leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing feminist, racial equity, peace-building, and political initiatives. As Chief of Staff at We Are ALX, she helps drive organizational strategy, cultivates key partnerships, and stewards leadership initiatives that elevate Latino power and prosperity across Massachusetts and beyond.
Throughout her career, Monica has collaborated with a range of mission-driven organizations. Her work is grounded in a commitment to building relationships, amplifying underrepresented voices, and fostering systems change.
Monica also serves as Board Chair of Calling All Crows, a nonprofit mobilizing music fans to fuel feminist movements, and has held leadership roles with One Common Unity, oneTILT, and the Groton Hill Music Center DEI Advisory Council. Her background includes extensive political organizing and fundraising work with national and local campaigns.
She holds an MBA from Simmons College School of Management and a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. Monica is also a certified Buti Yoga instructor and lives in Groton, MA with her husband, Ray.
