Unparalleled networking opportunities

We Are ALX is building the most robust Latino American network in Massachusetts; don’t miss this opportunity to connect with business and civic leaders in a setting that centers YOU.

Program Agenda

  • Cafecitos + Pastries
  • ALX Mercado
  • Headshots Courtesy of the Better Business Bureau (11:30 – 4 PM)

Join Governor Maura Healey, Commissioner Amy Kershaw, and ALX President & CEO Eneida Román for a fireside chat on why investing in childcare is essential to building a stronger workforce, growing our economy, and expanding opportunity for the families and entrepreneurs who keep Massachusetts moving forward.

As more parents return to the workforce and demand surges, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Massachusetts loses an estimated $2.7 billion each year due to childcare-related disruptions — with women, especially women of color, disproportionately affected.

The Healey-Driscoll administration’s Early Education and Child Care Task Force recently called for bold action to professionalize the sector and support providers. ALX is helping to meet that call — through a free business program that has supported over 130 childcare entrepreneurs in growing their businesses, creating jobs, and expanding access to care.

Many of these entrepreneurs are Latina women — shifting the narrative from caregiver to business leader.

This isn’t just about policy — it’s about building generational wealth and securing our state’s economic future. Join us at the ALX Business Summit for this critical conversation and more.
